What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Local storage also saves information on your device, but does not automatically send it with each website request. This policy covers both technologies on this website; account, billing, and desktop app data are covered by our Privacy Policy.
Your Choice
Google Analytics is optional. We do not load its script until you choose Accept optional cookies. Choosing Reject optional cookies keeps analytics off. You can use the website with either choice. Continuing to browse does not count as consent.
Open Cookie settings above to change your choice. You can return to this page using the Cookie policy link in the footer. If you turn analytics off after accepting, we remove the site's accessible Google Analytics cookies and reload the page to stop the analytics script. Withdrawal stops future analytics collection; it does not automatically delete information already collected. Contact us about privacy or deletion requests.
Necessary Storage and Optional Analytics
We use necessary local storage to remember your cookie choice, including a refusal. It is not used for analytics or advertising. Your choice is valid for 180 days, after which we ask again on a subsequent visit. The local storage entry may remain on your device until it is replaced or you clear site storage; expiry means we no longer rely on that choice.
Analytics cookies are optional and used only with your consent. This website does not enable advertising cookies through our Google Analytics configuration.
When you start a paid purchase from the Jesters' Box desktop app, the website loads Paddle.js on the checkout page. Paddle is the merchant of record and may use cookies, local storage, or similar browser technologies that are necessary for checkout security, fraud prevention, payment processing, and remembering checkout state. These technologies are controlled by Paddle and may vary by payment method, location, and checkout session. They are loaded only after an enabled checkout route receives one validly formatted Paddle transaction parameter; the website's optional analytics choice does not disable necessary payment technologies. We use Google Analytics to understand page visits, navigation and outbound link clicks, interest in downloads and pricing, FAQ openings, scroll depth, visible-page engagement time, video playback milestones, and basic error categories. Our custom events do not include form inputs, email addresses, full URL query strings or fragments, or error messages. Standard campaign labels (source, medium, campaign, campaign ID, and content) may be used for referral attribution. Our configuration disables Google signals and advertising personalization, and does not grant advertising consent.
Managing Browser Storage
You can also clear cookies and site storage through your browser. Clearing your saved choice means we ask again. If your browser blocks local storage, your choice applies to the current page but may not be remembered on your next visit.
Google and External Websites
When you accept analytics, your browser connects to Google to load its analytics service and send usage information. Links to services such as Discord or YouTube take you to external websites. Those services manage their own cookies and privacy choices; this site's cookie settings do not control them.
